Police in Kampala are holding in custody a 53-year-old Norwegian female drug trafficker after she was found with 3.76kg of heroine.
Elizabeth Arntzen Karin, 53, was arrested at the baggage screening point at Entebbe International with the narcotic drug with millions of Uganda shillings.
Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Patrick Onyango says the woman was intending to travel to Brussels, Belgium.
"Our aviation police became suspicious and intercepted her. On searching, three polythene bags wrapped with a cello-tape were recovered with suspected heroine weighing 3.76 kilograms. We have submitted the drugs to the government analytical laboratory for analysis," Onyango told local media.

The 53-year-old Norwegian female drug trafficker has been charged with unlawful possession of narcotic drugs contrary to Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act 2016.
