Petitioner wants age limit judge disqualified over siring children with respondent’s legal advisor
A petition has been filed against one of the judges appointed to sit on the panel hearing the age limit petition.
The petition filed by Male Mabirizi alleges that Lady Justice Elizabeth Musoke sired children with one of the respondent's legal advisor and also another minister who voted ‘yes’ in favour of Constitutional Amendment Bill.
Mabirizi accuses Lady Justice Musoke of siring children with Deputy Attorney General Mwesigwa Rukutana (a respondent’s legal team) and also Minister of General Duties Hillary Onek (who voted ‘yes’ in favor of Constitutional Amendment.
“With the above, it is clear that when you decide to preside over the petition, you will be receiving submissions from the father of your child and at the same time you will be hearing a case in which another father of your two children, Hon. Hilary Onek, is highly interest in, having voted in support,” part of the petition reads.
The petition wants Lady Justice Musoke to be disqualified from sitting in the age limit petition case where the petitioners fault the government for not fully consulting the people on the amendment.
“The purpose of this letter therefore is to put you on notice that I seriously object to your sitting in the case because you will be sitting in your own case”
Justice Musoke, Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo, Remmy Kasule, Kennth Kakuru, Cheborion Barishaki will sit in Mbale to settle the matters raised by different petitioners.
