In announcements made on Tuesday, the National Assembly speaker said that sittings had been suspended.
The Senate also said that they had adjourned sittings up until April 14 over CIVID-19 outbreak.
“I have just moved a motion adjourning the Senate from today 17th March 2020 until Tuesday 14th April 2020 at 2.30 PM in regard to COVID-19,” tweeted Senate Majority Leader and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
Senate becomes the latest to suspend it's operations after several government agencies cut down on activities following a directive by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
