Odinga addressed journalists at the Lee Funeral Home where he had gone to view the body of deceased Migori Senator Ben Oluoch Okello.

Odinga paid tribute to Okello and repeated the message in both English and Swahili.

He later switched to Dholuo at which point NTV cutting short the press conference.

The anchor explained on a light note, "We hope you will understand that is not one of the languages we broadcast".

Before joining politics in 2017, the late Okello was veteran radio host with Ramogi FM - a vernacular station that broadcasts in dholuo.
