Fresh details have emerged about the death of the Finnish national Tersvouri Toomajuha Petteri, 42, who was reportedly found dead at Pearl of Africa Hotel on 6th February

The director of Internal Security Organisation Lt. Col Joseph Aliganyira says the CCTV footage currently in circulation was manipulated.

“It was manipulated. There were a lot of insertions, trying to create someone who looked like him [the deceased Finnish]. One has a bald head but the other doesn’t,” he said.

In a police report released late February, Tersvouri Toomajuha Petteri died of use of narcotic drugs and mixed toxication.

ISO is now moving to investigate why the footage was 'doctored' thereafter release a final report.

“We are still investigating why the footage was manipulated and we shall eventually release a final report,” the organization’s director Lt. Col Alinganyira said.

Six foreign nationals died in Uganda in February.
