Land grabbers reportedly grabbed part of President Musevenis land at his Kisozi ranch in Gomba District, his farm manager told Land Commission.
NTV Uganda reports that land grabbers fraudulently obtained a title deed for 300 acres in 2016 on the land at Katwe Kambwa hill in Ggomba district.
Farm manager Florence Kamatenesi said, "Museveni is also affected by the group that forges land titles". "Who will solve land problems if these people are able to steal the president's land," she added.
The president has tasked Land Commission to investigate how his land was "grabbed, titled and sold off without his knowledge".
Locals in Maddu in Gomba district have accused the area Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Fred Niyebaale and a CIID police officer Julius Ssekwa of conniving with land grabbers to take their land.
"How can you fake the president when the RDC is in the district. These people's documents pass through the RDC's office. That is the reason RDCs are not helping Ugandans. If they can steal from the president, how about us local people," a concerned resident said.
