President Museveni on Women’s Day warned men who beat their women and labelled them as cowards who should face the full wrath of the law.

A member of parliament, however, thinks otherwise.

When Onesmus was asked to comment about the issue, he said a man somehow needs to discipline his wife, touch and beat her somehow to streamline her.

"As a man, you need to discipline your wife...touch her a bit, tackle her and beat her to streamline her,” he said.

Some people on social media are not happy about his outrageous comments on women and some are calling for his resignation.
