Models showcased outfit designed by their fellow inmates in a move aimed at raising women's self-esteem.

The prison has a rehabilitation project which gives each inmate 40 hours every week of productive skill building in tailoring and design.

Authorities believe that such programs help inmates to prepare for the life after prison.

Luzira Prison currently holds over 53,000 inmates.
