Leila Kayondo asked SK Mbuga, Jalia to hire her to perform at their wedding

In an interview, Kayondo revealed that she asked the couple if she could get a gig to perform at their wedding and they're just pondering over terms of payment.

In the process, she got a deal to sing at a charity event in Boston, United States.

S.K. Mbuga, real name Sulaiman Kabalangala, and singer Leila Kayondo broke up in 2016 after she accused him of domestic violence.

Mbuga and Jalia Vivienne Chebet married in a lavish wedding in 2016 and they have three kids together.

The songstress recently revealed that once in a while she hits up Mbuga, who once dated her, for a tête-à-tête.

Why? Because they understand each other.

"That's my boy," said Kayondo in an interview.

The songstress said that Mbuga likes calling her "twin."

"He says I'm stubborn," said the Relaxing hitmaker.

"We will always be good... We understand each other... Any time we can talk."

The former lovebirds have had a tumultuous relationship.

In 2022, Kayondo took to her WhatsApp status to rant about Mbuga, calling him a fool with no sense of direction.

She even subjected him to blackmail, asking for money so that she can stop posting about him.

Then in October, she claimed their friendship is forever.

SK Mbuga and Leila Kayondo grew up in the same village in Kyabakuza, Masaka. Their grandmothers were friends.

Leila Kayondo was born in Seeta but hails from Kyabakuza. Her father is Yahaya Kayondo and the mother is called Faridah Wakabi Kayondo.
