Joyce Anyiso and Jacqueline Manyara initially had a verbal confrontation as one of the legislators warned her colleague to keep off her boyfriend. The commotion quickly turned physical.

The blows and kicks attracted the attention of journalists covering the assembly sessions, even as their colleagues protested that the fight was a “family and personal” affair.

The ugly fight came to an end after the security staff at the assembly was called in to separate the two.

Anyiso later defended herself saying she was forced to respond because Manyara attacked her first.

The incident is one of the many instances where MCAs in Nakuru County have faced off physically over disagreements in the assembly.
