The announcement comes days after its candidate for the by-election Charles Kamren defected to the Jubilee Party.

During a function attended by Deputy President William Ruto in Baringo last week, Kamuren said Jubilee was the only party, which was committed to transforming the lives of all Kenyans.

“I am happy that I am declaring here today that I have ditched Kanu for Jubilee. We have realized that Jubilee Party is committed to peace and stability of all Kenyans including this region,” said Kamuren.

The DP promised to work together with the leaders who had defected to Jubilee Party.

“We are welcoming all the leaders to Jubilee Party. I promise that we will work together in uniting the people and bringing development,” said Mr Ruto.
