Motorists have been advised to to use the Ntungamo-Mirama Hills road to connect to Rwanda.

Authorities have closed the road to heavy vehicles after cracks started developing in the remaining section of the road.

Only light vehicles are being allowed to use part of the road.

A team from Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA), lead by its Executive Director Allen Kagina, has travelled to the western district of Kabale to assess the damage.

The team is also expected to prepare for intervention works on the damaged section of the road.
