Sabiti took to Twitter to say the singer "sounded honestly interested" in finding out the state of Bobi Wine.

The journalist adds that he inquired "whether he had been brought to court". He doesn't reveal exactly whom Bebe Cool called.

Bebe Cool has been under fire by a section of people on social media criticizing him for being in bed with the dictatorial ruling government. He recently posted his photo with President Museveni amid protests against Bobi Wine's continued detention.

He is currently remanded at Gulu Main Prison together with the co-accused, including other lawmakers.

Wine will have access to his private doctor after he was seen being aided to walk by his colleagues.

The legislator was allegedly tortured during his arrest in the northern town of Arua. His lawyers claimed that the army doctors were massaging his swollen face before his appearance in court.
