AK47 Mayanja was the young brother of Jose Chameleone, Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso and Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel.

AK47 Mayanja was found bleeding in the bathroom at Dejavu Bar in Kansaga and rushed was to Nsambya Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The musical Mayanja brothers paid tribute to their younger brother on social media.

Jose Chameleone: “Every hard experience in life builds the strongest of us. It’s only exactly three years today, that we lost a friend and brother AK47. Before all tears dried up another was gone. But with the invisible Faith we hold at heart we know our prayers opened the heavens Gates for our loved ones. Me and the entire Mayanja Family are in unison prayer for Ak47 as it’s exactly 3 years since he departed. Rest in Peace AK and Radio. One day we will meet again”

Pallaso:“I deserve some big wins coz I’ve made so many big losses. Can’t even look in the mirror without feelings broken. Y’all can’t stand a minute in my shoes. No money in the world can make the pain stop. 3years my best friend in that casket. Some body took away my gun @akfourtysevenmusic forever be missed”

Weasel:“It's Been 3Years Now And We Still Feel Like It Was Yesterday. RIP the True Dancehall King @AkayFourtySevenMusic. Say Hi To Our Broda Radiology. We miss you Generals.”
