Former Swangz Avenue singer Irene Ntale has for the first time opened up about the feud between her and ex-friends, Vinka and Winnie Nwagi.
Speculations have been going on that Irene Ntale is not in good times with the two who are currently managed by Swangz Avenue, a record label she left to go independent.
Irene Ntale told Miles Rwamiti in a recent interview that she has no beef with anyone from the Swangz Avenue camp.
“There is no relationship. We were friends. We don't talk but there is no beef. I have no beef with anyone. Vinka was my personal person who used to help me. She is doing her thing but my opinion if her music is good doesn't matter. I would be wrong if I said Winnie’s music was bad. She is a great musician,” she said.
Vinka is currently hitting the airwaves with her smash songs and people have potentially labelled her a perfect replacement for Irene Ntale at Swangz Avenue.
Irene Ntale - Swangz Avenue row
When Irene Ntale announced that she was leaving Swangz Avenue after fruitful years, rumor had it that the relationship between the her and the management was already very bad. Allegations of mismanagement surfaced.
The singer said her decision to leave was personal because she felt she had reached a peak in her career where she had to move on and be independent and would have been a fool if she hadn’t left.
“I left because I felt it was time for me to move on. I learned a lot at Swangz. I would be a fool If I was still there. I decided to transition from a record label to being independent. It was tough in the beginning because of backlash in media. I didn't know how things were done because under a record label, everything is done for you,” she said.
The singer will hold her concert dubbed “Unchained” mid this year.
