I don’t hate Zari – TV presenter forced to come clean

Popular Tanzanian TV presenter Maimartha Jesse has been forced to come clean on her constant criticism towards Zari Hassan.

Speaking to a Tanzania daily, Maimartha said that she does not hate the South Africa based Ugandan socialite in anyway.

She went on to say that the claims made is what people think is the reason for her criticisms, insisting that it was not true at all.

Ms Jesse added that if anything, she has love for Zari because she is a respectable and influential woman, but whenever the Boss Lady is wrong, she will not hesitate to correct her like any other person.

The TV personality was also forced to clarify on whether she preferred Hamisa Mobetto to Zari Hassan and if that was the basis of her criticism.

“Watu wanahisi mimi namchukia Zari lakini hakuna ukweli wowote, Zari nampenda sana na ni mwanamke ambaye ana ushawishi ila pale anapokosea namkosoa kama mtu mwingine anavyoweza kukosolewa, mimi wala si Timu Hamisa,” Maimartha Jesse, in the interview with Global Publishers.

Ms Jesse was for a longtime a keen supporter of Zari Hassan, before she turned into her fiercest critic after she parted ways with her Tanzanian singer baby daddy Diamond Platnumz.

She claimed that Zari had lost respect for Tanzanians including her ex-boyfriend’s managers who she should respect, despite the break-up with Diamond.
