Another family member was critically injured and is receiving treatment at Kapchorwa Hospital.

The three family members, including a 3-year-old, died after losing a lot of blood, privately owned newspaper, Daily Monitor reports.

The incident which left the residents in shock, was a result of the heavy downpour currently being experienced in Sebei region.

Police authorities revealed that the current heavy downpour loosened the soil hence causing erosion.

People living near Sebei region  steep slopes have been cautioned to relocate until the the torrential rains stop.
