Thugs on Tuesday robbed, Jetset, the largest forex bureau in the western district of Kisoro, making away with UGX30m.
The thugs accessed the facility through the roof using ladders to access the money safe.
They also stole the company's internet devices and eyes glasses for one of the employees.
Police in the area launched an investigation after the robbery -- a sniffer dog was used to track the thugs.
Robert Turatunga, Jetset forex bureau security guard, was arrested after the dog led the officers to his home where the company's internet device and the eye glasses were found.
Turatunga reportedly handed over his gun before going home on Tuesday morning.
This was before the forex bureau manager discovered that money was missing from the safe.
Two people, including the security officer, are being detained at Kisoro Police Station as investigations to recover the stolen money continue.
In 2016, the same forex bureau was robbed and thugs made away with about UGX20m
