The chairperson of the committee Anette Kezaabu and police officials held a meeting with pornography dealers on Thursday in Uganda's capital, Kampala.

Kezaabu states that the dealers "hate it and want to fight it" and they have allowed to "bring and we burn them in one place".

It's covered under the Anti-Pornography Bill which was controversially passed by Parliament in 2014.

The committee has been relying on information from whistleblowers to monitor and intercept consuming and circulation of pornography, according to the chairperson.

It also heavily relies on Uganda Communications Commission equipment to regulate ISPs after the government failed to procure a pornography detecting machine which was valued at UGX300m.

No consumers and dealers of pornographic materials has ever been arrested ever since the committee started its operations.
