Government declares Tuesday a public holiday

The government of Uganda has declared Tuesday, July, 10th, a public holiday.

In a statement issued by Minister of Public Service, July 10th will be "observed as a public holiday throughout Uganda"to allow people to participate in the Local Council 1 (LC) elections.

This is the first time in 15 years the LC elections are being held in the East African country.
