Former news anchor Nuliat Nambaziira dies after excessive bleeding

Nuliat Nambaziira, a former news anchor at the non-functional WBS TV, has died.

She died of excessive bleeding shortly after giving birth, according to officials at Eastern African Sub-regional Support Initiative for the Advancement of Women (EASSI) where she has been working.

EASSI Executive Director says Ms. Nambaziira developed a post delivery complications after an operation last week -- and died during a second operation.

Ms. Nambaziira was serving as Program Officer Communications and Networking for EASSI and Communications and PR Assistant at Inter Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU).

Media practitioners and fans have started sending in their condolences to the late media personality -- with many raising concern on maternal mortality.
