Ex Miss Uganda, Ella admits struggle with age amnesia
Former Miss Uganda Stellah Nantumbwe, popularly known as Ella, shared a light-hearted message with fans on how she struggles with age amnesia.
In the post, Ella joked that after turning 30, she often loses track of her exact age.
“Some days I’m 32. Other days I’m 34… maybe 36. All I really know is I’m definitely not 40,” the message read.
Though humorous, the post struck a chord with many fans, especially women navigating life and careers in their 30s.
The former beauty queen, actress, and media personality did not state her exact age although public information puts her at around 34 years.
Still, the post was widely interpreted as a rare and playful nod to a topic many Ugandan female celebrities prefer to avoid altogether.
In Uganda’s entertainment industry, age remains a sensitive subject, particularly for women.
While male celebrities often speak openly about growing older, many female stars continue to dodge direct questions about their age or choose silence altogether.
For some, age is still closely tied to public perception, casting opportunities, endorsement deals, and relevance in a youth-driven industry.
