Fiona Mukasa Wamala named Alien Skin, Carol Nantongo for her song Oliwa, David Lutalo, Jose Chameleone for Badilisha, Bebe Cool for Wire Wire, B2C -- also known as Kampala Boys -- for Mundawo and Rema Namakula for Ngonze.

Fiona, who is based in the U.K., is a singer herself and she said that she's always up to speed with the Ugandan music industry.

Some of her songs include Tendereza, Kanywerere Ku Yesu, Wamilele Wamilele, Thank You, Miracle Thank You Lord, Bwana Yesu, Busuule and Aliubeba among others.

Her father, Elly Wamala -- who died in 2004 from lung cancer, was one of Uganda's first musicians to release a recorded song and have it become a commercial hit in the 1950s when he released Nabutono.

Meanwhile, all the singers she mentioned have been doing well in the recent past by dropping well-received songs, holding successful concerts and being among the highly booked to perform in and outside of Uganda.

The notable feature on the list is Alien Skin, real name Patrick Mulwana, who became an internet sensation because of his bombastic-ness.

According to reports, Alien Skin started singing in 2017 as an underground rapper in the ghetto but began dropping jams regularly in 2019.

His single titled Tulabise, which was released in 2021, played a big role in spotlighting him after it was embraced by TikTokers as they danced and sang to it.
