The game was largely uneventful for the first 30 minutes, with the only notable highlight being the substitution of Samwel Otieno for Philemon Nyakwaka after the former had to pull off through injury.

Just 5 minutes later, Mohammed Baraza went down injured and needed specialized medical attention.

This forced the referee to add 10 minutes of stoppage time. In the 4th minute of stoppage time, Mara broke the deadlock, courtesy of a Mohammed Baraza goal in the 49th minute.

The visitors refused to carry on playing. Christian Kitamba would be booked for dissent, before his reaction forced the referee into sending him off.

Kibera, clearly exacerbated by the decision, blatantly refused to play on, forcing the referee to end the match by giving Mara Sugar all the 3 points.

Kibera Black Stars now face a three points and two goals deduction from the FKF leagues and competitions committee.
