Is Desire Luzinda really quitting music? It looks like it, according to her Instagram.

On her 34th birthday on Wednesday, the singer said her new album which is dropping on August 23rd, is her last body of work.

She wrote on Instagram that her last album, Transition, is "special" and "had a chance to co-produce bearing in mind what/whom I am transitioning into".

"Two years ago I hinted that I was in a TRANSITION and much as it stirred lots of speculations, I knew it would make sense... someday. Transition is a change in the process taking place and I am excited to let you know that I will release my LAST ALBUM titled "TRANSITION" on the 23rd of this month," she said.

Luzinda, a mother of one, is ready for the challenges ahead after over 10 years in the business.

"I am grateful to the Lord of possibilities that I serve. Times ahead may come tough but I'll be counting on Heaven above. So to the achievements in years gone, cheers...to the challenges ahead, no fears," she wrote on Instagram.

Luzinda was involved in a sex scandal in 2014 when her alleged former boyfriend circulated her nude pictures on social media for for revenge.

The singer blamed a "breach of trust by someone I loved" for the incident apologised saying: "I take full responsibility for having lost my mind to take such shameful pics"

Statee Minister for Ethics and Integrity, Simon Lokodo, directed police to investigate and arrest her for circulating pornographic content.

The anti-pornography law bars the circulating on pornographic content.
