In a post she shared on her Instagram page, Jamila said that Mr. Okari’s gift to her meant a lot because he made it using his own hands.

“As my brother  gives me a super gift. Means a whole lot more because he made it with his hands. Thank you Dennis, God Bless you, always,” said Jamila.

The gift from Dennis is a black and white portrait of Jamila Mohamed.

The former colleagues at the Nation Media Group’s NTV seem to have been very close friends and still remain to be, despite working with rival media stations.

Jamila Mohamed left NTV along with their former boss Linus Kaikai who is currently the Director Strategy and Innovation at the Royal Media Services (RMS). Others who also left for Citizen TV included Swahili anchors; Rashid Abdalla and Nimrod Taabu and Weekend anchor Victoria Rubadiri.
