Brothers arrested in Makueni for killing mother’s lover

A mom and her two sons in Makueni, were arrested on Wednesday following the death of one Kiendi Kivutha.

Suspected love affair

The two sons, Boniface Masavu and Kyalo Masavu are said to have killed the 52 years old Kiendi who was having an affair with their mom. They allegedly committed the heinous act on Monday night after suspecting that their 50 years old mother was having an affair with the 52 year old Kiendi.

The murder

According to The Standard, one of the sons had confronted the deceased on Sunday and confiscated his phone. At around 1:30 am on Monday the two, launched an attack on the deceased who was at their mother’s house.

When the mother asked for help from her neighbors, they were unwilling to get involved since Mr. Kivutha had already sustained very serious injuries. His body would later be found dumped in Mbukuni with deep head and hands injuries.

Investigation of the murder

The three suspects are being held at the Kilome Police station to aid in the investigation of the murder.

 The deceased body has since been transferred to Kilungu hospital mortuary.
