Bobi Wine's team has issued an update saying "we have not heard from Hon. Bobi Wine as his phone is not reachable".

He was reportedly arrested on Monday night but his team, in a statement, says "security forces are not telling us if they arrested him or not".

Bobi Wine was leading a rally campaign for Kassiano Wadri who is vying for the Arua Municipality MP seat after the assassination of Ibrahim Abiriga in June.

Attempted assassination

Bobi Wine's team has claimed that there was a deliberate attempt on his life when security operatives opened gunfire to disperse clashing supporters.

The team says they were "marching peacefully back to the hotel" when security forces opened fire and "one bullet went straight to the seat in the Tundra vehicle where Bobi normally sits".

Brutality

Several of Bobi Wine's colleagues, including Wadri, were arrested by SFC soldiers and police last night, according to a statement on Bobi Wine's social media platforms.

The security operative reportedly vandalised opposition vehicles and "took away everything".

Bobi Wine's dead driver

The legislator's driver was killed on Monday night by what the police said was a stray bullet as they tried to disperse clashing supporters.

Security operatives are still in possession of the body.
