Top opposition figure Dr. Kizza Besigye made an expected response after it came to light that President Museveni appointed a dead person for a top job.
Besigye was responding to reports that Museveni revised his recent top job appointments after realising that a dead person was included.
He tweeted that it's perfect for Museveni to appoint dead people into his "dead system", adding that "It’s having “real” people serve a “dead system” that’s problematic"
On Tuesday, Senior Press Secretary in the president's office announced that the president has made "some slight revisions to the list on RDCs and Deputy RDCs issued over the weekend".
Apparently, Aya William who had been appointed deputy RDC for Pader district, is not alive.
The other official, Aluma Geoffrey who was also thought to be dead, came out saying he is "alive and kicking and I have never had any disturbing sickness".
The president issued another list of RDCs and their deputy on Tuesday and Aluma was missing on the list despite stating that that "he’s grateful to the President for reappointing him RDC of Amudat".
