Mr. Kizza-Besigye organized undergraduates to condemn the forceful arrest of a black Harvard undergraduate saying "it’s just become more obvious to me that there is an acute and systematic failure on almost every level of administration to secure black lives on this campus".

His father has reacted to his son's move saying he is just an "activist for his rights"and he did nothing wrong because a black student had been oppressed.

He also said he would never discourage his son from doing what he did at his university.

The FDC strong man's political tenure is characterized by constant detentions by the government operatives and fights for freedom.
