The legislator was arrested on Monday after clashes between opposition and ruling party supporters on the last day of Arua Municipality by-election campaigns.

Barbie told reporters in Kampala on Wednesday that her husband is believed to be "held in a military barracks".

She said her husband is not a soldier he shouldn't be detained in a military facility.

Bobi Wine's wife was flanked by other family members and politicians who condemned the arrest of the Kyadondo East MP and other political heads.

On Tuesday, Barbie told the BBC that she last spoke to her husband while he was in hiding.

Barbie Kyagulanyi's Wednesday's press conference is the second following media briefing following Monday's chaos where Bobi Wine's driver was shot dead.
