Ugandas army has spoken out for the first time about the deteriorating health of Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
The force's spokesperson says "whatever condition Hon Kyagulanyi may be in as a result of the whole ARUA fracas".
Brig. Richard Karemire maintains the army is committed to taking good care of Bobi Wine and he will receive "adequate attention and care now that he is under its safe custody".
His family also will be able to access him as per established procedure, according to the brief statement.
Deteriorating health
Bobi Wine's health is in a dire and worrying state, some of the lawyers who accessed him on Friday told reporters in Kampala.
Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago reiterated that the 36-year-old MP is in a very bad shape -- his face is swollen and can't talk or stand.
Efforts to have him checked into a private hospital are failed and will continue receiving treatment at the military facility.
