Constable Casmel Ndege was part of the motorcade escorting the DP for a funeral in Githunguri, when according to police reports, he lost control and ended up in a deadly crash. The DP, in his condolence message described the officer as a gallant, hardworking and dedicated professional.

Sadly, the DP has lost another outrider. In the morning hours of Saturday along the Southern Bypass, a police escort attached to Ruto's motorcade died in a fatal accident.

As reported by Nairobi News, Constable Eric Kamau Mburu, was riding a BMW motorcycle from Karen to Langata but on reaching the KeNHA weighbridge, he lost control, landed in a ditch and died on the spot.
