Akothee responds to parting ways with manager Nelly Oaks

Kenyan singer Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has responded to claims that she has parted ways with longtime manager Nelson Oyugi aka Nelly Oaks.

While responding to a concerned fan who had asked for the whereabouts of the manager, Madam Boss said to Cherotich to worry about her life and not Nelly’s.

Akothee also asked the fan who had raised issue with why Nelson did not attend the launch of Akothee foundation if she attended the event.

“Where is @nellyoaks you no longer together even the @akothee foundation he didn’t attend just concerned fan no hard feelings,” asked Cherotich.

“@c.h.e.r.o.t.i.c.h be concerned with your own life, did you attend the foundation yourself?” responded Akothee.

The mother of five’s answer did not, however, clarify whether it was true that they have parted ways or not. It is also not clear if the two have been having a misunderstanding.

Dating

Akothee and her manager Oaks have been very close friends and they were at one time thought to be dating, an issue that saw the Oyoyo singer come out and strongly denied the claims.

This was after they treated fans to some romantic and suggestive photos.

“Who told you he is young? Furthermore, we are not dating. We are just friends but our fans pushed us to say we are dating. We are not really dating. Maybe I do not know the meaning of dating but for us, we are just pals. Just because people see us walking and working together does not mean we are dating. We are business partners.” she said.

Madam Boss added that she wouldn’t want to get into Nelson’s plans, but he is a good guy.
