Akothee in mourning

Self-declared President of Single Mothers and singer Akothee is mourning the death of her friend.

In a post she shared on Instagram, the mother of five said that it was sad she went to visit the woman who was also a single mother only to find that she had passed.

The Abebo singer went on to say that her journey of motherhood had impacted her life and made her a stronger woman than she was.

Akothee promised to ensure that her departed friend’s children are taken care of as she prayed that her soul rests well.

“So was the journey! It’s sad that I came to visit you and you could not wait any longer for our date my darling! Sharing your journey of single motherhood with me made me a stronger woman! You built me sweetie. I visited your home today and all was empty. Fair Thee well 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾😭😭 Rest In peace. Your children are in God’s hands I will try my best that they don’t end up on the streets,” she wrote.

Akothee met her friend during one of her Akothee foundation charity events and that is when their friendship began and grew stronger as time went by.

The Akothee Safaris boss has been using her foundation to feed people of Turkana as well as supporting other charity events across Kenya.
