This collaboration comes shortly after Marcus shared a thought-provoking post on X: "I’m tired of Ugandan music not having a distinct identity… let’s go back to the roots ⏰⏳"
A follower responded: "Ugandan music has an incredible journey older than you. It was planted in Zaire and then brought back to us. Your father is a big patron. Ask him for wisdom in the same."

Marcus replied: "I grew up watching my father in the studio create your favourite songs, so you’re telling me things I already know. I’m not impressed with how newer artists are heavily relying on the Jamaican wave. I’m going to do everything I can with my dad."
He also teased a project in the works, posting a beat on X and writing: "Who Said? ⛹🏽 Me and my Dad have something special for you all on the way. Uganda needs international reach… watch me 🤍"

Despite recently criticising his uncle, Marcus has reunited with Weasel Manizo, suggesting a shift in their relationship. Previously, Marcus had accused Weasel of negatively influencing his father, Jose Chameleone, who is currently undergoing treatment for alcohol abuse and pancreatitis in the U.S.
Weasel, a brother to Chameleone, flew to the U.S. alongside him, which provided the opportunity to reconnect with Marcus, who resides in Minnesota. A video shared by Weasel shows the uncle and nephew warmly reuniting, clearly happy to see each other.
