8 feared dead in grisly accident involving multiple vehicles along Eastern Bypass

The Sunday morning accident involved a lorry and two matatus.

Eye-witnesses recounted that the lorry was forced to come to an abrupt stop by traffic officers before its driver lost control and rammed into the two matatus.

Local residents reportedly barricaded the road with stones in protest, moments after the disastrous accident.

The officers allegedly fled the scene following the accident.
