At least 7 people have been arrested for allegedly printing fake national IDs, legal documents and driving permits.
The group of suspects were arrested at Miracle House on Nasser Road after a tip-off.
Authorities say these people have been helping some individuals to live in the country "illegally, acquire jobs, default taxes and drive without proper assessment by authorities in Uganda".
Arrest
An undercover officer was introduced to a member of the group. He posed to be in need of an illegal land title.
He was asked to pay UGX1.3m for the needed document and UGX120,000 for the national ID and UGX130,000 for a driving permit.
Seized equipment
Police have confiscated the equipment which was being used to forge documents and falsify documents and seals belonging to government departments.
Charges
The 7 suspects have been charged with forgery and are under detention at Special Investigations Unit (SIU).
