5 charged as new developments emerge on death of Finnish national

Five people have been charged and remanded to Luzira Prison over the murder of Finnish national at a popular hotel in Kampala

Thomas Juha Petteri Terasvouri was found dead at Pearl of Africa hotel on 5th February.

Five people including senior ISO intelligence officer Appollo Kyabagye, the deceased’s girlfriend Fatuma Kabagambe, Caroline Alinda, cab driver Nasif Walusimbi and Faridah Naggayi.

Appearing before Buganda Road Magistrate Court, the five were charged with manslaughter, forgery, trafficking in drugs and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Prosecution alleges that they schemed to kill the Finnish national by giving him narcotics which they allegedly sneaked into his hotel room.

Thomas Juha Petteri Terasvouri’s post mortem revealed that he died to mixed toxications.

The accused will return to court on 5th April for mention of their case.
