5 arrested after viral video robbing a lady at gunpoint

Five suspects have been arrested after a viral video of two men robbing a lady at gunpoint.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), detectives based in Mombasa arrested the five in connection robberies that took place in Aldina and Makande areas.

The five suspects include; Brighton Naiya Manyala, Mohamed Hassan, Chris Odhiambo Omondi, Evans Munyoki Mburiro & Mutonyi Nzamba.

The DCI said during the arrests, two motorcycles were recovered. One of the motorcycles was identified as the one used by the suspects to flee.

The detectives are still looking for more suspects.

“Detectives based in Mombasa have today arrested 5 suspects in connection with a robbery in Aldina & Makande area. The suspects-Brighton Naiya Manyala, Mohamed Hassan, Chris Odhiambo Omondi, Evans Munyoki Mburiro & Mutonyi Nzamba-were captured on camera robbing a lady at gunpoint. Two motorcycles-one used during the robbery-have been confiscated. #DCI Detectives at the coastal town are pursuing other suspects connected with this & other robberies,” tweeted the DCI.
