They kept in touch and Nessim was then working at Badi Muzik Production, started by Bashir Lukyamuzi – alias Producer Badi.

After working with Don MC Kapata on Oli Mbuzi, Nessim had his breakthrough and big artistes started working with him.

That’s Rabadaba came to record Love Portion and Nessim convinced him to work with Jazmine on her first single You Know. She paid Nessim Shs150k for the song.

Who is Lydia Jazmine?

Jazmine, who hails from Mukono is of Rwandan descent, and she went to Nagalama Preparatory School and Victoria Nile School in Jinja, before joining Margaret S.S. in Bombo in S.1, then City Land College in Matugga. 

Her parents divorced when she was six, so she was partly raised by her aunt and her single mother. 

She grew up loving music, then exposure grew when she joined Multitech Business School where she studied business management and administration.

She used to sing in bands, and choir when she was young.

She met her first manager Bushingtone while working as a backup artiste for Radio and Weasel. At the time their manager was Jeff Kiwanuka.

When Jeff broke up with Radio & Weasel, he took on the management of Sheebah Karungi and Jasmine started working under Bushingtone.

You Know, her duet with Rabadaba, was her breakthrough song.
