At least two people have been reported dead after a lorry they were travelling in plunged into Karuma falls in Kiryandondo District.

A report from authorities indicates that the lorry was carrying timbers logs from Lira.
The driver survived and other two people were swept away by the rapid moving water, according to privately owned newspaper Daily Monitor.
Authorities from Uganda National Roads Authority have appealed to drivers to slow down while approaching Karuma Brudge.

A team of experts has been dispatched to "assess the condition of the bridge & â–ªadvise our maintenance team on remedial measures".
This is the 3rd accident in Kiryandongo District in less than three weeks.
Last month, a passenger bus collided with a tractor and rammed into a stationary bus killing 23 people and injuring 15.
