The celebration will take place in Kijaguzo village in Semuto Trading Center, a place steeped in historical significance to the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

President Museveni's birthday celebration is more than just an event; it's a historical homage to the NRM’s roots in Kijaguzo village.
During the tumultuous days of the bush war in the early 1980s, local residents provided shelter and supplies to the rebels.
It was here that President Museveni together with his mother Esteri Kokundeka and key figures such as Hajji Moses Kigongo and Gen. Tumwine were hidden by Mrs Maria Mukaluyinda Nakampi inside the Kijaguzo Catholic Church.
The birthday is expected to draw large crowds, coming together to honor a leader whose tenure has been marked by efforts towards stability, economic growth, and national unity.
