"What do those who fight for you have?... let's show them, baby,” belts out Rema’s sweet voice. “... let's conclude everything, baby… come see me to night... you disturb my mind... I thank you, baby, for giving me a chance."

Born on April 24, 1991, Rema went to Kitante Primary School and St. Balikudembe S.S. Mukono.

It’s while she was in primary seven that realised she could sing as teachers kept involving her in music projects.

After S.6, she joined Kyambogo University but dropped out shortly after release of Ceaze and Sekke.

She started backing singers while in S.6 vacation and some of these are Bebe Cool, whom he was introduced to by Halima Namakula who she also backed.

Halima owned a studio called No End Studios and encouraged her to start using to learn the dynamics of becoming a recording artiste.

She said it took her about four years of backing other artistes before her breakthrough song.

In 2013, the Sili Muyembe singer unceremoniously left Gagamel Crew, which is owned by Cool, for a solo career.

In 2019, Cool said his issues with Rema started when she got a manager from Gagamel and he (Cool) rejected their idea of holding a concert. They didn't like it.

The year she split from Cool's label she dropped her first hit single Oli Wange.
