Dance with Valentino, UK’s Richard Marcel team up on new project

Valentino R. Kabenge is making major inroads in the dance industry, with the latest being his collaboration with Richard Marcel, U.K.’s renowned and award-winning artistic director.

The collaboration will kick off with workshops for professional dancers at Trroy Studios.

The development was revealed in a press conference held Tuesday, April 2 at Fairway Hotel in Kampala. The ‘Dance with Valentino’ T.V. show host welcomed Marcel to Uganda during the conference.

Richard Marcel has worked with big stars such as Madonna, Spice Girls, Diana Ross, Kylie

Minogue.

He has provided full choreography, creative and production concepts for T.V. shows such as

Lip Sync Battle, Dancing with the Stars, X Factor and So You Think You Can Dance.

He also featured at the Royal Variety Performance, which was attended by King Charles of Great Britain.

According to Kabenge, who also goes by Dance with Valentino, Richard Marcel’s team from the U.K. is collaborating with him on an exciting new project.

“I have been longing for the existence of a platform of this caliber to provide the skill and

direction that promotes our talented dance artists in Uganda and I am so thrilled that

Richard Marcel and his team are partnering with ValRich Arts,” he said during the conference.

Richard Marcel said: “There is so much talent that Valentino has introduced me to, and we can’t wait to harness it to its full potential!”

The collaboration will kick off with mega workshops for professional dancers at Trroy Studios.

Meanwhile, in 2022, Valentino R. Kabenge made his debut on the B.B.C. While there, he also taught the British broadcaster’s staff some Samba dance moves.
