Timothy Code: Why I chose UCU over Makerere University

In 2006, Timothy Code Muhumuza graduated with a bachelor's of law from Uganda Christian University Mukono.

One, at the time he joined university there were always strikes at Makerere and he didn’t want to be a part of that. Secondly, he said in an interview, all his life he had studied near his home and he finally wanted to be a distance away.

Timothy Code Muhumuza went to Kampala Happy Tops, Aga Khan Primary School, Kampala Parents’ School and sat Primary Leaving Examinations at Greenhill Academy,

He then joined Makerere College School before returning to Greenhill Academy to complete high school.

In 2006, he graduated with a bachelor's of law from Uganda Christian University Mukono.

Timothy Code was born in Mulago Hospital in a family of three and he is the last born.

His father passed in June 2000 and he was raised by a single mother.

He developed a love for Hip Hop when he was in high school and his mom paid for his first studio session in 2011.

He did a remix of a Rick Ross song called Stay Schemin.

A week after graduating from UCU Mukono, he joined Urban TV. While at university, he had been talking to Bush Baby who was in management at Urban TV.

He has also worked with Sanyu FM.

Timothy Code's breakthrough came when he released Hands in the Stadium.

His music influences include Jay Z, Edwin Ruyonga, Kendrick Lamar, Naz, Drake, Casper and Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (known professionally as AKA).
