This is according to one of his friends and former music partner, Pastor David Kateeba, of Destiny Upliftment Center, Kasanje.
Pastor Wilson Bugumbe was reportedly married in the past but was forced to quit after being mistreated.

Pastor Kateeba, who recorded and featured on Bugembe’s hit song “Ani” made this revelation in an interview.
Responding to questions on why his friend had taken so long to get married, Kateeba listed a number of factors including the gospel singer’s past relationship.
“We need to know that he started church work at a young age and with a rough background,” he said.
“But what I also know is that he tried out marriage once and he was not treated well… I think they beat him up.”
“But he says now that his wounds are healing and he is about to cross over to the marriage lane again.”
Reports about Bugembe having been in a relationship before are not new.
Last year, his brother Brian Ddumba confirmed that the “Kani” singer lived with a woman at his home.
“I found one (woman) at his place but as you know a wife has to be special,” Ddumba said in a YouTube interview.
“You can be with a lot of women but getting one that is marriage material is very tough,”
Ddumba added that he and friends of Pastor Bugembe have decided not to pressure him into marriage so far.
Meanwhile, Kateeba said he will keep encouraging his friend to continue pursuing love.
“The Bible says he who finds a wife finds a good thing. Maybe Bugembe has been blind, but we believe that soon he will open his eyes and find one of his own.’
Pastor Bugembe will be turning 40 later this month.
