Don't compare yourself to me if you can’t afford police bond - Bebe Cool

While Bobi Wine, one of the big three said the label should be eliminated because some new artistes are doing great work, Cool doesn't believe there is a new artiste that can match the achievements of him, Wine, and Jose Chameleone.

Cool believes the label is reserved for them because they are financially okay, well-connected, and have released great music.

"Is there anyone who has the kind of money we have?" wondered Cool, real name Moses Ssali.

"To beat the numbers we have, you have to combine a lot of things. You start with music, then go to family, then money, then property, and after that, social capital; whom do you know? What can you do?

"Some of these musicians can't even pay for their police bond, they have to call about five people."

Cool said Wine appreciates up-and-coming musicians to the level he does because he has become lazy.

"And to established musicians, stop bowing down saying that young musicians are great," said Cool.

"... I've always wanted to say this, it seems some household names have become lazy at heart. They are worried about speaking out because they are scared of being abused.

"When someone has given up, they try looking for excuses... saying the big three is no longer relevant."

Bebe Cool also said that he was struggling to find talented young musicians that will benefit from his free housing project.
