According to her, lesbians can do well as feminists but heterosexual women may struggle to find a man if they adopt feminist beliefs.
Sanyu, real name Cinderella Sanyu Munyonjo, shared her views in a Facebook post shared Friday, saying it's her International Women's Day message.
"Since the other day I was wondering what to tell women (Specifically)for women's day so after a lot of thought this is my message to women,'' said Sanyu, who is the current president of the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA).
"Unless you're lesbian, don't join the feminist movement, you will end up sad, alone and lonely. No joke."
Cindy Sanyu got married to Prynce Joel Okuyo Atiku in December 2021. The couple welcomed their first baby in January 2022 and she gave birth while at Prime Care Hospital.
Last month she revealed that she is pregnant with their second child. Born in 1985, Cindy Sanyu also has a daughter named Amani Brunneti whom she gave birth to about 11 years ago while with her ex-Italian lover, Mario Brunette.
She split from him in 2014. Sanyu shook a table that has a lot of people, including Sheebah Karungi who has been pro-feminism and anti-marriage.
Karungi has said that while she wants to have kids she is not interested in marriage at all.
According to her, there's a man out there who thinks like her and when they finally meet, they'll work out a plan.
