Caroline Marcah on competing with Ray P, Zahara Totto; 'friendship' with Fille

For her breakthrough job, Caroline Marcah Mirembe was pitted against Zahara Totto and Precious Remmie.

They all wanted a spot on Spark T.V.'s flagship show dubbed Live Wire.

Before the opportunity to work with the Nation Media television station, the bubbly media personality had been through the wringer, having left her parent's home immediately after sitting S.6. exams.

At the age of 17, she used her savings to pay rent at a house where she was charged Shs.150k per month.

With a background in poetry and stage performance, Caroline Marcah juggled gigs. She got roles in plays at National Theatre, got a non-paying job at Life T.V., and emceed at events.

Life T.V. was based in Makindye and this offered her an opportunity to meet Mowzey Radio and Weasel Manizo, who also stayed in the Kampala suburb.

The year she spent at the T.V. station brought her close to the singing duo and one day she even invited them to watch her perform at National Theatre and they came.

Radio was impressed. He also advised her to never get romantically involved with a boss because he would fire her after having sex with her.

Marcah told Ruth Kalibbala in an interview that she took the advice to heart.

She said she decided to stop living with her parents because they're always fighting. She also noted that doesn't like being anyone's burden. She is the last born.

The Spark T.V Live Wire gig came when she was 18. She said she used to borrow most of the clothes she wore during the show, as she was broke.

She co-hosted the show for eight months and was taken off after Annatalia Oze returned from maternity leave.

March was assigned field shows. She was very ideative and she came up with shows like 21 Questions and Live Wire Recap.

Oze co-hosted Live Wire with Zahara Totto until they left to join N.B.S. T.V. in 2018.

After their departure, Caroline Marcah Mirembe was recalled to host the show, but at the time she was pregnant. She had been away from Spark T.V. for about a month, as the show she was hosting had been canceled.

Precious Remmie, alias Ray P, and Gabie Ntaate took over.

Caroline March transitioned through different shows, including the aforementioned ones and others like Lutuwe and Cheza.com.

After leaving Nation Media, Marcah joined Vision Group's Bukedde where he worked for a year before switching to its sister station Urban T.V., which she also left after about a month.
